KUMARSWAMY R. MARURI
Founder, CEO & Managing Director
Kumarswamy R. Maruri founded Akron Pharma in 2015. With advanced degrees in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, he brings over 10 years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, operations, and global strategy. Under his strategic guidance, the Akron Group has expanded to include Akron Formulations, Akron Parenterals, and Akron Consumer Care. His extensive expertise spans retail pharmacies, distribution, and manufacturing across the U.S. and India, establishing him as a respected leader committed to innovation, quality, and sustainable growth.
Matt Sabel brings nearly 30 years of industry experience in project management, domestic and international sales, marketing & business development to his role as Akron Pharma’s VP of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining Akron, Matt held various leadership roles with Dentsply International, Patterson Dental, Henry Schein, Inc. and Geritrex. Over his career, he has led award-winning global teams in business development and program management.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UNC Wilmington and proudy served his country as US Army infantry officer.
