KUMARSWAMY MARURI
Founder, CEO & Managing Director
Mr.Maruri founded Akron Pharma in 2015 and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. With a Doctor of Pharmacy, Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and a Bachelor's in Pharmacy, he brings unmatched insight into pharmaceutical manufacturing and operations. As a founder of Akron Generics and AUM Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Maruri's leadership is focused on global growth, integrity, and innovation. His experience owning pharmacies, distribution companies, and manufacturing units in the U.S. and India gives him a strategic edge in all areas of the industry.
Matt Sabel brings nearly 30 years of industry experience in project management, domestic and international sales, marketing & business development to his role as Akron Pharma’s VP of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining Akron, Matt held various leadership roles with Dentsply International, Patterson Dental, Henry Schein, Inc. and Geritrex. Over his career, he has led award-winning global teams in business development and program management.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UNC Wilmington and proudy served his country as US Army infantry officer.
